Samantha La-Anyane is a trained journalist with a passion for culinary art and works with a dedicated team of assistants who are known for big flavours. Speaking in a short interview at Labadi Beach Hotel over Christmas (2015), Samantha's words were, "if culinary delights that make you pause to think is what you're after, then you've come to the right place".

Laysys-Platter was coined from a combination of elements of her name and presentation style (she offered) of emphasising on complete and balanced spreads rather than on a dish by dish basis. Ironically, the recipe here is a very simple one, cook well, cook with flair and challenge norms.

With her easy going manner, the conversation naturally moved on to her other passion, events management. Samantha makes it very clear that we the general public need to watch this space as plans are afoot to introduce new social events around "fine dining" in the near future!

So there you have it. Laysys-Platter it seems, is here to make waves.
